The hosting infrastructure may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and security logs.

5stays does not currently provide user accounts, booking forms or a newsletter form. Hotel owners and representatives may submit a hotel nomination through the site.

A hotel nomination includes the contact name and email address, the contact’s relationship with the hotel, hotel information, links and any correction details supplied. This information is used to verify the property, review the nomination, prevent duplicate submissions and contact the sender if more information is needed.

Nomination records are retained while they are relevant to editorial review, verification and site records. You may request correction or deletion by emailing hello@5stays.com.

If you contact hello@5stays.com, the information in your message is used to respond to your enquiry and maintain any necessary record of that correspondence. Please do not send sensitive information that is not needed for your request.

Hotel cards link to Booking.com. Following one of those links takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices. 5stays may receive an affiliate commission if you complete a reservation, at no extra cost to you.

The live comparison map is supplied by Stay22 and loads automatically on guides where it is shown. Stay22 affiliate features load automatically when you open a page, independently of the optional-services setting. Hotel booking links pass through Stay22 for affiliate attribution. Your browser connects to Stay22 and that service may process data or use cookies and similar technologies under its own policies. This can include device, usage and affiliate booking information. DataFast loads automatically in cookieless mode to measure page visits and interactions with hotel links and maps. It uses no cookies for visitor identification; session-only storage may be used. Its pseudonymous identifier is derived from signals including IP address, browser information and the site domain, with a salt that rotates daily. See the DataFast cookieless documentation.

Google Analytics, where configured, loads only if you allow optional services. It measures visits and interactions and remains disabled otherwise. Google advertising storage and personalisation are disabled. The optional-services controls apply to Google Analytics and Stay22, not to DataFast cookieless analytics.

Technical data is processed where necessary to operate, secure and improve the site. Correspondence is processed to answer requests and manage legitimate site enquiries. Where consent is required for a third-party feature, that feature is not loaded until you request it.

You can allow or disable optional services on our Cookie details page. Disabling reloads the page to stop loaded scripts. Data already sent and cookies previously set by providers are not deleted by this control; browser settings and providers' privacy controls offer further choices.

Technical logs are retained only for the periods set by the hosting and security services used to operate the site. Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry or any related legal obligation.

You may ask for access, correction or deletion of personal data associated with your correspondence by emailing hello@5stays.com. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.
